Biden Voices Support For Humanitarian ‘Pause’ In Israel-Hamas War

President Joe Biden, while responding to an audience member ─ a rabbi – at a Minnesota campaign rally Wednesday night said he believes there should be a humanitarian “pause” in the Israeli-Hamas war, to “get prisoners out of Gaza”. The 80-year-old Democrat had been addressing around two-hundred people in the North American state when he was interrupted by the shout-out.

“I think you need a pause″ said Biden, suggesting that a pause should let enough time to get detainees free. The White House later issued a clarification that Biden alluded to hostages held by the Palestinian Islamist group, Hamas, when words “prisoners” had been uttered.

Notably, the US Head of State discussed Moses–or Binyamin Netanyahu– engaging Pharaoh – or Abdel Fattah El-Sisi – to convince him “to open the door”, allowing ex-hostages to walk out of Gaza border safely. It was stated that Joe Biden partially referred to the libertaion of two US nationals, formerly held by the Palestinian militant group.

The White House reportedly demanded humanitarian “interruptions” near the clock, showing readiness to provide relief supplies to inhabitants and evacuate those who in danger. Nonetheless, the Biden-Administration was concerned that, under the terms imposed by Hamas, the ceasefire would have only=”disc”>
