European Council President Charles Michel, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen have all pledged continued support to Ukraine in light of Russian invasion. In response, Canada has announced that they will donate 11,000 assault rifles and 9 million rounds of ammunition in aid to Ukraine, and the EU is currently training 30,000 soldiers out of a goal of 40,000 men. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that they “will stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes.”
