Less than two months after its release, Lace, a light wallet developed by Input Output Global (IOG), has now expanded to provide support for Brave, a prominent web browser. The news has prompted a reaction from Cardano founder, Charles Hoskinson.
The development comes as a positive expansion for the growing demand of light wallets around the world, given that Brave is the first major browser to integrate the Lace wallet. The open-source wallet is dedicated to provide an intuitive and user-friendly version of Cardano’s native wallet, Daedalus.
Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, expressed his enthusiasm on the news, writing on Twitter:
“Lace is now available on Brave! This is great news and I’m looking forward to see other wallet providers follow suit. There is a lot of potential for browser integration.”
The Lace wallet is accessible for both Cardano’s mainnet and testnet. It is optimized to provide full support for wallets, addresses, transactions, payment requests, history, and more.
The light wallet is currently available for download on Chrome and Brave, although it is still in its early stages of development. IOG has already expressed its ambitions for Lace, with further plans to expand the wallet’s features and availability.
