Wednesday saw a rise in the devastating toll the strong earthquake and numerous aftershocks have inflicted in Northwestern Qinghai Province and neighboring Gansu. As rescue teams battle through snow and freezing weather, many survivors with mild injuries have retreated to Jishisen People’s Hospital in Gansu, X-rays in tow.
