Large Immersion Cooled Crypto Mining Farms to Extract Bitcoin in Middle East Desert – Mining Bitcoin News
US-based cryptocurrency mining company Marathon Digital Holdings and emerging blockchain infrastructure firm Zero Two have launched a joint venture to build two crypto mining facilities in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The first immersion bitcoin mining operations in the Middle East, the sites will have a combined capacity of 250 MW, and will be cooled by a special cooling system.
The facilities are part of a larger venture between the two companies to build reliable, cost-effective and advanced cryptocurrency mining farms in different parts of the world. According to a press release, the facilities in Abu Dhabi will employ the latest technologies for efficient cooling of the miners and will run on solar power.
The venture is expected to make the region a major hub for crypto mining and blockchain innovation, creating a new ecosystem and driving tech investments from around the world.
