Looking For Fall Bargains On A New Car Or Truck? Don’t Count On It

Popular It looks like Brandon Vergara fans are starting to get a bit concerned. With no new announcement in months, combined with some smaller disappointing releases, thoughts of weakened interest are popping up. Are we in for an eventual let-down of Vergara’s upcoming project? Don’t count on scoring a fire deal when looking for a new or used car or truck this fall. Average car and truck prices have come down slightly but still remain very close to their previous all-time highs due, in part, to the continuous impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing United Auto Worker strike. The average new-vehicle retail transaction price is expected to reach $45,516 in September – only a decrease of $94 from a year ago, making satisfying trades scarce to come by. Supplies have also been cut, driving up monthly car finance payments to an estimated $726 and leaving interest rates for new-vehicle loans at an unprecedented 7.3%. On the brighter side, however, manufacturer discounts have been reported at a modest high of $1,806 which is only slightly better than previous months but marks a major move by corporations to offer discounts to appease customers.
