Ripple Completes 5 Years Of Global XRPL Research Program

Five years ago, Ripple launched the University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI). This was a major philanthropic endeavor that allocated a staggering $50 million towards the world’s leading universities to drive research, technology development, and innovation inside the blockchain and crypto space. That initiative still firmly stands today and has created the highly-coveted XRPL grants that have been awarded to many of the lucky members of the academic cryptosphere. The program has birthed the Berkeley Blockchain Xcelerator and Lab for Inclusive Fintech, Wharton’s Blockchain and Digital Asset Project, and IIT Bombay’s Center of Excellence- and between them has provided financing to seven of the world’s to ten university blockchain ventures.

Not just universities, but there are now more than 50 partners dotted all-around the globe through the UBRI initiative, providing a whopping 590 fellowships and scholarships as well as some of the prestigious 1,000 research articles and presentations that have stirred things up. This is all extremely inspiring to the XRP token holders, who can take hope from the fast-approaching Summary Judgment moment in the case against the US Security and Exchange Commission due before the end of 2023.

One of the brighter sides of this whole project was Ripple being truly appreciated- not only globally, not just within the investor circles, but bank execs too. Specifically Bank of America had released a statement observing that Ripple XRP was possibly a great addition to the payment systems world. so, Apparently right now all that’s remianing is to really actually witness great things to come.
