Robinhood Sets Sights on UK Markets, Appoints New UK CEO

Robinhood Markets Inc. has recently appointed Jordan Dane Sinclair, former managing director for Europe at Freetrade, as the CEO for its UK branch. The stock trading app is all set to mar its presence in Britain this summer with the acquisition of London based crypto trading platform Ziglu. As it looks to set up its operations in the country, the firm has started to fill key positions such as an operations lead with securities and brokerage experience and a legal expert. Evidently, the firm is determined to capitalize on its UK expansion before arch-rival Public.com announces the launch of its platform for British users, allowing them to invest in over 5000 US stocks. Amid expansions plans, Robinhood has also cut 7% of its employees in due time owing to the market crash of 2022. This marks the third of staff reduction for the firm which has since then let go over 1000 workers. Moreover, there are analyses that employees are also leaving the company voluntarily ever since the business predicaments.
