When responding cryptically to a statement encouraging those in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to pivot to decentralization, Shytoshi Kusama – the lead developer of meme coin Shiba Inu – set both tongues and incentives to wagging. Speculation is rife, but it is possible at the very least that plans to integrate AI tools and be completely self-governing, as outlined in a blog post from early 2021, have already been set in motion.
Kusama’s mention of “Captain Obvious” only appears to reinforce these ideas, with SHIB previously announcing a collaboration with AI partner firm Bad Idea earlier in the year. To this day, the venture’s purpose is to further enhance their Layer 2 solution – Shibarium – with AI capabilities. With groundbreaking projects still in flux, another comment made by Kusama about AI during October also contributes to lingering sentiment.
Wolf-shy whistles aside, Kusama defiantly stands firm in indicating that the Shiba Inu team is seeking to revolutionize both decentralization and Artificial Intelligence, and matrix these components as core parts to its vision. In the running words of Kusama himself, a decisive pivot may not be necessary, as SHIB has already begun to forge through the wilderness of Cyberius with all its talents beaming ⮑
