Missiles and drone attacks have prompted the involvement of international maritime coalitions who are working to protect the vital Red Sea trade route. Recently, French shipping giant CMA-CGM has resumed some transit through the Red Sea following an “in-depth evaluation of the security landscape”. Maersk also rejoined in the coalition shortly after. Traces of these attacks disrupting global trade have been made evident through the US military shooting down over twelve attack drones, three cruise missiles, and two ballistic missiles. Despite the security threats of these attacks, trade has resumed and continues down the Red Sea route.
