Recent Spill Averted Successfully at El Palito Facility in Carabobo

Venezuela’s state oil company announced earlier this week that an oil spill occurred at a refinery on the country’s western coastline. But state authorities composed highly trained personnel and current safety protocols to put an end to the mishap.

Wednesday’s spill at the El Palito facility in Carabobo province attributed to heavy rainfall washing fluids over the lagoon lids. But PDVSA also noted the substances were “not heavyado province, incident points the need to investment more towards developing structures and protocols to avoid recurrences of such events.
