According to data from Whale Alert, crypto whales recently moved $780 million in digital currencies, many of the transfers involving Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple XRP, and Dogecoin – resulting in a value of nearly $500 million. While the purpose of these whale transfers is unclear, the crypto global market as a whole has all reported losses today. It is possible the whales are just shuffling their assets, or possibly waiting on an increase in the market in anticipation of the SEC approving Bitcoin ETFs next week, when the entire crypto market may experience a huge spike.
Other valuable shifting during the recent whale transaction include over $150 million in Ethereum and larger than usual transfers of $100 million in Dogecoin to anonymous wallets, along with $30 million worth of XRP transferred to different exchanges.
